Treating systemic inflammation requires a deep understanding of integrative immunology
Your numbers may look fine. Your doctor may say the disease is well controlled. But you’re still exhausted by mid-afternoon, still flaring when life gets stressful, still dealing with a gut that never cooperates. Autoimmune illness is often treated as managed long before it feels managed.

My Approach
Autoimmune disease and digestion are closely linked, and often must be addressed together. Much of the immune system matures in the gut, and many of my autoimmune patients also have digestive symptoms.

Chinese herbal medicine looks at the pattern behind the flares: what sets them off, what the body does in response, and what leaves you depleted afterward. Treatment focuses on fatigue, digestive involvement, and flare patterns - with the aim of fewer, milder flares and more good days in between.
What Care Looks Like

I review your labs, your medication list, and your history before we meet. Your formula is built for your pattern and revised as things change. Acupuncture is available where it helps, particularly for joint pain.

Working with your doctor

This is supportive care alongside your medical treatment, not a replacement for it. I don’t advise stopping or changing DMARDs, biologics, thyroid medication, or any other prescription. Every formula is screened against what you take, and rechecked whenever your medications change. With your permission, I keep your rheumatologist or endocrinologist informed.

If your autoimmune condition is being treated but you still don’t feel well, I’d be glad to hear from you.
